On this page you can activate a security key with an authenticator app. For this method, you need a smartphone that is always available when you are working with BL Banking Web.
An authenticator app works according to the TOTP method (Time-based One-Time Password). A new one-time password appears there at short intervals, which you must read at the moment of the prompt. The smartphone and computer must therefore be set to the same time. A permanent Internet connection on the smartphone is not required.
Install an authenticator app of your choice on your smartphone. Suitable apps can be found using the search terms TOTP, 2FA and Authenticator.
Transfer the value from the field Security key on this page to your authenticator app. You can use the app to take a photo of the QR code displayed. Alternatively, enter the value under the QR code manually in the app and your user name as the account name.
The app creates an account entry and displays the first one-time password. Enter this in BL Banking Web to confirm the transfer of the key. As a description, you can enter the name of the app used or a description of the smartphone, for example. Click on Submit to return to page Zwei-Faktor-Authentisierung. The new authenticator app security key is displayed there in the overview.
