BL Banking Web applies the SCL directory of the Deutsche Bundesbank (German Federal Bank), a list of accessible payment service providers. When SEPA payments are recorded, a check is made by default whether the BIC entered is contained in the SCL directory. If you use the SEPA Clearer of the Deutsche Bundesbank for the automated processing of SEPA payments, accessibility via the SEPA Clearer is thus ensured. The check generates a warning in a yellow info bar, but the payment is still saved. If you often enter BICs that are not in the SCL directory, you can deactivate the check here. Additionally, it is checked whether the required service is entered in the SCL directory. If not, an error message is displayed at the field and the payment is not saved.
By default, any values can be entered in the field creditor reference. If you only want to use valid values according to ISO 11649, you can enable a check for ISO-compliant values with this setting. The check does not take effect if the field Intended purpose is set in the payment recording.
