The customer protocol is provided by the bank and mainly serves to indicate the status of an order. Therefore, the checkbox Activated should normally always be set. You can manually retrieve the customer protocol from the bank by clicking the button Update send orders on the pages Orders - Sent files and Payments - Signed payments. Furthermore, in the Preferences under File transfers, you can set the time interval, after which the customer protocol is updated automatically.
Use the drop-down list to specify the format and order type of the customer protocol. The setting depends on the format offered by your bank.
Here you can see, when the last retrieval of the customer protocol took place. Normally, you don't need to enter anything here. However, you can set a date in the past to retrieve the customer protocol again up to this date. This happens, when you update the send orders, as described above.
